Cable agreement postponed 1 week

An agreement that would allow for a new cable television company to begin operating in the city was delayed for one week by city commissioners.

Commissioners delayed a proposed agreement with Community Wireless Communications after an attorney for the company objected to the size and scope of the agreement the city was proposing.

Commissioners agreed to defer the issue for one week to give attorneys for both sides more time to discuss the issues.

Community Wireless would be a competitor with existing cable provider Sunflower Broadband. Sunflower is owned by the parent company of the Journal-World.
