Ottawa’s American Legion baseball team stands alone.

By knocking off Pratt, 12-5, in the Class AA state championship game Sunday in Sabetha, Ottawa (43-0) became the first team in Kansas Legion baseball history, regardless of class, to post a perfect season.

Ottawa, which outscored its four state tourney opponents, 43-8, isn’t done. Next stop is the Central Plains AA Regional later this week in Milbank, S.D.
