Food conspiracy

To the editor:

This relates to Ellen Goodman’s article “Attitudes toward food may be shifting,” published in the July 25 Journal-World. I would encourage as many people who can to view the current movie showing downtown titled “Food Inc.” If not that, at least read Goodman’s article.

It compares our current food crisis to that of fighting the tobacco companies in 1994 when seven CEO’s swore that nicotine was not addictive. This is the same type of battle as trying to improve the health care system, the lock on our economy by big oil companies and big business denial of global warming. When a farmer cannot save some of the seed from his corn harvest to plant next year without paying a fine to the seed seller, it’s time to change or attitudes.
