Minneapolis ? The Minnesota Twins made room for new shortstop Orlando Cabrera by optioning infielder Brian Buscher to Triple-A Rochester. The Twins acquired Cabrera from Oakland on Friday to shore up their middle infield and add a better hitter in the No. 2 spot in the batting order. Buscher hit .227 with two home runs and 11 RBIs in 53 games for the Twins.
