Senior center plans program on cancer care

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is sponsoring a program on “Getting the Best Cancer Care at Age 55 and Older.”

The program will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the Lawrence Senior Center, 745 Vt.

Julie Tuley, a certified oncology nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, will discuss topics such as treatment decisions, communicating with the health-care team, and emotional aspects and support.

A complimentary breakfast will be served at the free program. Pre-registration is required and may be done by calling Jessie Kwatamdia, of the senior center, at 842-0543.
