Members of Boy Scout Troop 64, chartered to Eudora Lions Club, participated in the Pelathe District Spring Camporee April 3-5 at Camp Bromelsick, west of Lawrence. The theme was “Fishing and Cooking.” Scouts attending were Nathan Bradley, Alex Whitten, Patrick Bradley, Simon Elwell and Andrew Rome, with adult leaders, Damon Bradley, Jerry Criqui, Jim Morrison, John Scott and Brian Rome. Elizabeth Bradley was a visitor. On Saturday, the group was joined by Jonathan Morrison, Andrew Briery and George Watts.

• Lawrence Boy Scout Troop 52, chartered to the Lawrence First United Methodist Church, had a pancake feed April 18. The event was hosted by Applebee’s, 3900 W. Sixth St. The money raised will be used to fund the summer camp at Camp Alexander in Colorado this summer.

• Members of Boy Scout Troop 60, chartered to First Baptist Church, participated in the Pelathe District Spring Camporee and Order of Arrow call-outs April 3-5. During the Camporee, Scouts could work on cooking or fishing merit badges. Scouts attending were Eric Glogau, Caelen Golledge, Jake Keary, Tyler Kendrick, Steven Ozaki, Darren Rawlings, Doug Rawlings, Eli Ray and Will Schrader, with adults leaders, Dave Ozaki, Chris Golledge, Richard and Deb Rawlings, Harry Smith, Carol Stevens and Janell Schrader.

Order of Arrow call-outs also occurred this weekend. OA is an honorary camping group run by boys and includes both boys and adults. Individuals whom were called out were elected by their peers. Members from Troop 60 were Jake Keary, Tyler Kendrick and Steven Ozaki. Deb Rawlings was also called out.

Boy Scout Eric Glogau, along with adult leaders, Richard Borton, Deb Keary, Beth Knapik and Cody Knapik participated in LINK on April 5 with members of First Baptist Church.
