Over the Rainbow Doll Club met April 9 at the home of Suzanne McGinn. Members brought their dolls dressed in Easter finery and exchanged Easter baskets for the dolls. McGinn gave a lesson on a relatively new doll, LeeAnn, which was created by Denis Bastien in the late 1990s and has since gained in recognition and production.


Kaw Valley Quilters’ Guild will have a quilt show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 25-26 at Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper. Admission is $5 which includes one ticket to win the opportunity quilt, “A Prairie Garden.” The drawing will be Sept. 14 at the KVQG mini-retreat.

The show will also feature quilts made and collected by KVQG members, a mini-quilt silent auction, a workshop and featured quilter Lori Kukuk.
