A Douglas County district judge has ruled enough evidence exists for two of three suspects accused of firing gunshots in an east Lawrence neighborhood to stand trial.

At the conclusion of a preliminary hearing Friday, Andrew Hiesberger, 20, was ordered to stand trial on a charge of making a criminal threat. William Hiesberger, 23, will stand trial on criminal threat, criminal damage and aggravated assault charges.

The judge is waiting to hear evidence from one more witness before ruling on whether the third suspect, Samantha Schumock, 19, should stand trial.

The three are charged in connection with an incident early on March 17, in which gunshots were fired during a fight in the 1300 block of New Jersey Street.
