A 21-year-old Lawrence woman was arrested Thursday afternoon for aggravated battery.

The victim was a 20-year-old man whom police said was the suspect’s boyfriend. According to police, the two got into an argument at their home which ended in the female stabbing the male with a small penknife.

Police said the injury, a “small puncture wound,” was not life-threatening and the victim refused medical treatment at the scene.

Officers were called about 2:30 p.m. and arrested the suspect at 4:05 p.m.
