Local attorney to discuss legal implications for cancer care

Lawrence attorney Molly Wood, a specialist in elder law, will discuss the legal aspects of medical care at a free educational program from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, 325 Maine, in Room A.

LMH and the American Cancer Society are sponsoring free monthly educational sessions for people who are facing cancer, as well as their families and friends.

Wood plans to address common questions about how to pay for long-term care, how much Medicare will pay, health care and financial power of attorney, and estate planning.
