Kansas University’s baseball team will put its first national ranking in nearly three years on the line tonight on live television.

The Jayhawks, ranked No. 24 in Baseball America’s Top 25, will face Creighton at 6:30 tonight at Rosenblatt Stadium. The game will air on CBS College Sports, which is available on Sunflower Broadband channels 143 and 235.

KU has won five straight, including a three-game sweep of then-No. 17 Oklahoma over the weekend. The Jayhawks ranking, announced Monday, is their first since May 29, 2006.

How is KU doing it? Coaches had them last in the pre-season poll. What has been better then expected?

Good work guys. I have to admit that I do not know the structure of college baseball postseason, but if this makes sense, do your best to get into the College World Series.
