Kansas City, Mo. Former Baker University football player Tanner Purdum will be competing for the job of starting long snapper this season with the Kansas City Chiefs. Purdum finalized a contract with the Chiefs on Friday and will sign on Monday, pending a physical.
The Chiefs recently released veteran long snapper J.P. Darsche.
Purdum played at Baker from 2004-2007. He was also a graduate assistant for the Wildcats last season.
