The Knights of Columbus Council 1372 donated $560 for the purchase of a new mini computer at St. John Catholic School. It’s the first mobile convertible computer that incorporates touch functionality in a bi-directional LCD screen. It also allows one to navigate through applications with a stylus to create and watch documents, sketch objects and scenes, and collaborate with others using the built-in Webcam and microphone.


The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on March 25 was directed by Chris Lane. North-South winners Lester Dalton and Mary Fenlon tied in first in A with Wanna Rozel and Bebe Huxtable, also placing first in B and C; Chris Lane and Carol Ball, third in A and second in B; and Nita Scales and Jack Flickinger, second in C.

East-West winners were Paul Heitzman and David Piro, first in A; Shirley Reese and Virginia Seaver, second in A; Lois Clark and Mark Osborn, third in A and first in B; Eleanor Patton and Virginia Johnston, second in B and first in C; and Barbara McCorkle and Angie Davidson, second in C.


The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on March 27 was directed by Chris Lane. North-South winners were Mary Fenlon and Lester Dalton, first in A; Kent McCullough and Lois Clark, second in A and first in B; Jolene Andersen and Janice Hollowell, third in A, second in B, and first in C; and Don Daugherty and Harry Talley, third in B and second in C.

East-West winners were Eldon Herd and Sally Taylor, first in A and B; Madelyn Jenks and Mona Bell, second in A and B, and first in C; and Dick Shaffer and Jack Flickinger, third in A and second in C.

The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on March 30 was directed by Virginia Seaver. North-South winners were Terry Tolar and Jim Zhang, first in A and B; Peter Petillo and Donna Johnson, second in A; Virginia Seaver and Chris Lane, third in A; Lois Clark and Kent McCullough, fourth in A and second in B; Janice Hollowell and Mary Fenlon, third in B; and Carl Mibeck and Jacak Mibeck, first in C.
