Lawrence police received several reports of the sound of gunshots early Saturday.

Sgt. Richard Nickell said at midnight, a red car was spotted in the 300 block of Elm Street and gun shots were fired. Just before 2 a.m., the same description was called into police from the 3400 block of Augusta Street. Police found several shell casings at both locations.

Nickell said no injuries or property were damaged.
