Actors who played Munchkins in the movie “The Wizard of Oz” will make cameo appearances during OZtoberfest from Oct. 3 through Oct. 5 in Wamego.

Wamego’s downtown business district will be transformed into the wonderful world of Oz. Visitors will have a chance to meet some of the actors who played the Munchkins in the 1939 classic movie.

Jerry Maren, who played the central role in the Lollipop Guild, and other original Munchkins will be available for autograph and photo-signing sessions.

The Oz Museum will open at 10 a.m. Oct. 3 and will be the site of many of the special events.

Weekend passes for all three days cost $20 for adults and $14 for children. Day passes will also be available for $10 for adults and $7 for children.
