Oklahoma City ? New Oklahoma State basketball coach Travis Ford would have to pay the university $1 million if he leaves before the end of his seven-year contract. Terms of the deal call for Ford to receive about $9.1 million over the course of the contract, which runs through June 2015.

Ford’s base salary will be $252,400, and he will receive $25,000 raises each July 1, starting in 2009. Under a talent and personal services deal with the university, he will receive $650,000 annually, with a $75,000 raise each July 1.
