? Chase Daniel was close to perfect in an otherwise sloppy final tuneup for No. 5 Missouri.

Daniel passed for a career-high 439 yards and set a Big 12 record with 20 consecutive completions, helping the Tigers overcome a rash of errors in a 42-21 victory over Buffalo on Saturday.

The Tigers (4-0) lost three fumbles in Buffalo territory, and special-teams mistakes led to two of the Bulls’ touchdowns, keeping the game close well into the second half against a 331â2-point underdog.

Austin, Texas – Colt McCoy threw four touchdown passes and set the Texas career record for TD passes with 62, breaking Major Applewhite’s previous record (1998-2001) of 60.

Jordan Shipley caught five passes for 155 yards and touchdowns of 30 and 60 yards.

No. 11 Texas Tech 56, Massachusetts 14

Lubbock, Texas – Graham Harrell threw for 322 yards and four touchdowns, and Shannon Woods ran for three scores for the Red Raiders.

TTU scored on six of seven possessions in the first half.

Miami 41, Texas A&M 23

College Station, Texas – Robert Marve threw two touchdown passes, and Graig Cooper ran for a career-high 128 yards and two scores for the Hurricanes.

Marve, a red-shirt freshman making his second career start, completed 16 of 22 passes for 212 yards.

UNLV 34, Iowa St. 31 (OT)

Las Vegas – Omar Clayton threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Phillip Payne on the Rebels’ first play of overtime to beat Iowa State.

Iowa State lost its 13th straight road game and fell to 2-2 on the season.
