Monarch Watch and the Jayhawk Audubon Society will sponsor the traditional fall Monarch butterfly tagging Saturday at the Baker Wetlands.
The free event will be from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the wetlands along 31st Street between Louisiana Street and Haskell Avenue.
No experience is necessary, and children of all ages are invited. If you have a net bring it, but the organizations will provide tags, nets and instructions.
Every year thousands of Monarchs stop by on their way south. Directions to the wetlands are available at www.monarchwatch.org.
