Veritas goes 2-1; Seabury finishes 0-3

Veritas Christian School went 2-1 and Seabury Academy 0-3 in Tuesday's quad at the East Lawrence Rec Center.

Veritas defeated Seabury 25-10, 25-11 and Flint Hills Christian 25-19, 14-25, 25-16, but lost to Cair Paravel 25-20, 12-25, 18-25. Seabury Academy lost to Cair Paravel 24-26, 18-25 and Flint Hills 25-27, 13-25.

For Veritas, Meaghan Holmes had 15 kills against Manhattan and 10 versus Cair Paravel. Kristen Bennett had 11 service aces versus Seabury and 10 versus Cair Paravel. Emily Zimmer had eight digs versus Flint Hills and Cair Paravel. Shereen Fattaahi had 11 assists versus Flint Hils.

Seabury, 1-9, finished with 20 service aces on the night, while Bria Phipps and Charlotte Burch tallied eight and six kills, respectively.

Veritas (4-6) will travel to KC Berean Academy on Saturday. Seabury will play host to Heritage and Flint Hills Christian on Thursday.
