‘Sex and the City’-inspired styles coming to Home Shopping Network

New York ? Stop searching for the knockoff dress that Carrie wore at Charlotte’s baby shower. And if you’ve been shopping for the white dress with the big flower, look no further.
Patricia Field, who brought us the chic, sexy, fun looks on “Sex and the City” and “The Devil Wears Prada,” has designed a 50-piece limited edition collection for the HSN Inc. home shopping network and HSN.com. The collection was inspired by the “Sex and the City” woman, she said.
“The crux of what they got from ‘Sex and the City’ was enjoy dressing, go have fun with your friends,” said Field. “It’s not just about clothes. It’s about lifestyle. It has boyfriends. It has friendships. It has shopping. It has everything.”
Patricia Field Destination Style New York, which debuted for the media Tuesday during New York Fashion Week, includes several iconic “Sex and the City” pieces: a turquoise scarf dress with draped split-sleeves that fall below the hemline and a taffeta off-the-shoulder pouf top paired with a high-waist pencil skirt and belt.
Other pieces include T-shirt dresses (one has expensive shoes on it to represent Carrie’s shoe fetish) and a black trench coat with leopard print lining. Prices range from $39 to $200. The average price is $75.
“You’ll find all different shapes, all different hemlines,” said David Dalrymple, who collaborated with Field on the collection.
The collection is available on pre-sale on HSN.com. It will debut live Sept. 23 on HSN, Sunflower Broadband Channel 97, and run through Sept. 27. Sizes range from 4 to 16 and up to a 3X in denim.
