Downtown property owners were to have their say in December and voters were to go to the polls in February under a timetable for downtown development that had been unanimously approved by the City Commission. The commission also agreed not to re-establish Sizeler Realty Co., New Orleans, as the city’s official downtown developer of record for a month, to give any alternate proposals one last chance to surface. One proposal included a riverfront development in the region of city hall, with Ron Holt and Steve Clark the promoters of such a project.
