University Club Bridge announces results of its Sept. 6. meeting. Hosts were Bebe Huxtable, Willie Stoltenberg and Bonnie Haney.

Blue winners were Karmie Galle, first; Tom Waller, second; George Bocquin, third; John Stark, fourth; and Roz Zimmerer and Harold Riehm, tied in fifth.

Pink winners were Myrna Ikenberry, first; Wanda Kring, second; Hazel Stellmacher, third; Donna Riehm, fourth; and Willi Stark, fifth.

P.E.O. Chapter HZ will have a 9:30 a.m. coffee today at the home of Karen Van Blaricum. Assistants will be Anne Walters, Nancy Hale and Rita Pennybaker. The program will be “Hold Fast the Summer.”

The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Sept. 3 was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Suzanne Wassmer and Wanda Durbin, first; Sally Taylor and Chris Lane, second; Eldon Herd and Harry Shaffer tied in third with Julia Dalton and Lester Dalton; and Bebe Huxtable and Wanna Roszel, first in C.

The East-West winners were Lois Clark and Shirley Reese, first, Grant Sutton and Catherine Blumenfeld, second; and Mona Bell and Madelyn Jenks, third.

The Thursday Morning Mentor Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Sept. 4 was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Lester Dalton and Earle Core, first; Eldon Herd and Jim Drury, second; and Chris Lane and Barbara McCorkle, third.

The East-West winners were Barbara Figgins and Pat Lechtenberg, first; Angie Davidson and Ann Thompson, second; and Julia Brooks and Jean Khatib, third.

The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Sept. 5 was directed by Chris Lane and utilized the Howell movement. The winners were Paul Heitzman and David Piro, first; Carol Ball and Nita Scales, second; Lois Clark and Catherine Blumenfeld, third; and Janice Hollowell and Jean Otney tied in fourth with Kent McCullough and John Fittell.

The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Sept. 8 was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Lois Jones and Vince Nordberg, first; James Masilamani and Brian Barrett, second; John Fittell and Adelaide Nyquist, third; and Julia Dalton and Lester Dalton, fourth.

The East-West winners were Eldon Herd and Mary Fenlon, first; Bobby Patton and Elle Patton, second; Ed Howard and David Piro, third; and Jerry Sloan and Peter Petillo, fourth.
