The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s North American qualifying game on Aug. 27 was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Lester Dalton and Mary Fenlon, first; Ed Howard and John Fittell, second; Wanda Durbin and Suzanne Wassmer, third; and Jeffrey Nash and Lois Jones, fourth. Other qualifiers were Margarete Hartman and Ann Thompson, and Barbara McCorkle and Angie Davidson.

The East-West winners were Shari Krentzel and Eldon Herd, first; Virginia Seaver and Shirley Reese, second; Paul Heitzman and David Piro, third; and Pat Lechtenberg and Jean Khatib, fourth. Adelaide Nyquist and Bobby Patton also qualified.

¢The Thursday Morning Duplicate Mentor Game on Aug. 28 was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Eldon Herd and Jim Drury, first; Virginia Seaver and Barbara McCorkle, second; and Earle Core and Lester Dalton, third.

The East-West winners were Jean Khatib and Ann Thompson, first; Barbara Figgins and Pat Lechtenberg, second; and Chris Lane and Angie Davidson, third.

¢The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s North American qualifying game on Aug. 29 was directed by Virginia Seaver. The winners were Carol Ball and Shirley Reese, first; Janice Holliwell and Jolene Andersen, second; Klee Zaricky and Sally Taylor, third; and Kent McCullough and John Fittell, fourth. Other qualifiers included Virginia Seaver and Chris Lane, and Bebe Huxtable and Darlene Schneider.

The East-West winners were Ed Howard and James Masilamani, first; Paul Heitzman and David Piro, second; Bobby Patton and Mona Bell, third; and Grant Sutton and Donald Bush, fourth. Other qualifies included Eldon Herd and Jean Otney, and Barbara McCorkle and Florine Creek.

¢The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Sept. 1 was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South winners were Clyde Romer and Jeane Landry, first; Harry Shaffer and James Masilamani, second; Lois Clark and Kent McCullough, third; and Lester Dalton and Jana Goodman, fourth. Winners in the rank of C were Carl Mibeck and Jack Mibeck, first; and Jeff Mermin and Hailong Dao, second.

The East-West winners were Ed Howard and John Fittell, first; Brian Barrett and David Piro, second; Pat Musick and Jolene Andersen, third; and Craig Huneke and Jeremy Martin, fourth.
