JOPLIN, MO. Missouri Southern's football team downed Haskell Indian Nations University, 66-9, on Thursday night.
Haskell's Quentin Haynes gained 73 yards off 13 carries, including a 56-yard touchdown run. Haskell also recorded a safety. Also, Malcolm Coleman gained 18 yards off seven carries. Victor Ramos completed four of 10 passes for 35 yards, while Tyler Sessions hit two of seven for 13 yards. Martin Sivei caught three passes for 23 yards.
Greg Nilges had 21 tackles and Cale Ware had eight for the Fightin' Indians, who dropped to 0-2. Haskell will meet Bacone at 7 p.m., Sept. 13 at Haskell.
