Emergency calls

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical reported these responses:

¢ At about 5 a.m. Monday morning, the fire department picked up three people via boat on the bank of the Kansas River near the Douglas-Leavenworth county line. The individuals swam to shore after their boat stopped working. Once upon shore, they were unable to make their way through the woods. The individuals were taken to a nearby boat ramp, where they left on foot. The boat was not recovered.
