The Pilot Club of Lawrence met Oct. 13 at Stone Creek Restaurant with guest speaker Lynn Waugh, governor of the Kansas-Missouri District. The club announced it has donated $1,000 to the Epilepsy Alliance, $1,000 to Health Care Access, $1,000 to Women’s Transitional Care Services and $1,500 to Lawrence-Douglas Country Fire & Medical to assist with the helmet fair.

¢University Bridge Club announces results of its Oct. 18 meeting. Hosts were Wanda and Dale Kring.

Blue winners were Ray Ikenberry, first; Darlene Schneider, second; George Bocquin, third; Marc Kuepker, fourth; and Lois Liebert, fifth.

Pink winners were Florence McNicoll, first; Wanda Kring, second; Mary Gaumer, third; Jane Golden, fourth; and Ailene Bocquin, fifth.

¢The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Oct. 15 was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Mona Bell and Chris Lane, first; Harry Shaffer and Ed Howard, second; and Wanda Durbin and Julia Brooks tied in third with Bebe Huxtable and Wanna Roszel.

The East-West winners were Virginia Seaver and Madelyn Jenks, first; Klee Zaricky and Betty Collier, second; Paul Heitzman and David Piro, third in A; Lois Clark and Shirley Reese, second in B; and Bobby Patton and Eleanor Patton, first in A.

¢The Thursday Morning Duplicate Mentor Bridge Club’s game on Oct. 16 was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Barbara McCorkle and Barbara Figgins, first; Earle Core and Chris Lane, second; and Jim Drury and Eldon Herd, third.
