Key advisers

To the editor:

This is about critics and other naysayers who frequently allude to the "thin resumes" of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois and Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska.

It should be noted that former Presidents Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush all lacked experience in national security, as well as foreign affairs prior to becoming president.

Former Presidents Reagan and Clinton surrounded themselves with competent Cabinet members and other advisers, listened well and often acted upon their advice.

Interestingly, President George W. Bush listens mostly to first lady Laura Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and for the dinner bell.

As Bob points out, the plans of the PNAC people that own and operate Bush are not secret. They put them on the web ten years ago for anyone to read, and they've followed through on them, and it's got us to where we are today. They got the wars they wanted. Now get ready for CNP, a cult of Dominionist Christians. Tim La Haye, James Dodson, Trent Lott, Grover Norquist, and many more. They meet in secret, and want no one to know what they're up to. But their goal is clear, just like the Taliban, to have the government run by the religion of their choice. They're the people behind Sarah Palin, and they think they own McCain, too. Elect him, and they'll think they've been appointed to run the country.

We get the message Merrill. Obama=Socialism.Just a question or two: Do you even know what fascism means? What is a neoconservative? This just looks like another one of your bigoted rants where you stereotype everybody under the sun.

GW has been listening to others Mr. Hinton.Facist PNAC Neoconservatives are about a USA military nation dominating the world. An irresponsible and fiscally destructive policy.Signatories to PNAC Mission Statement, 1997: http://www.newamericancentury.org/statementofprinciples.htmElliott Abrams Gary Bauer William J. Bennett Jeb BushDick Cheney Eliot A. Cohen Midge Decter Paula Dobriansky Steve ForbesAaron Friedberg Francis Fukuyama Frank Gaffney Fred C. IkleDonald Kagan Zalmay Khalilzad I. Lewis Libby Norman PodhoretzDan Quayle Peter W. Rodman Stephen P. Rosen Henry S. RowenDonald Rumsfeld Vin Weber George Weigel Paul WolfowitzThe GOP has been history for almost 30 years. Hopefully tons of democrats will get elected in an effort to purge the facist neoconservatives from the government. The GOP was forced out by the facist neoconservatives. The facists neoconservatives only recruit facists neoconservatives which is to say there are no republicans on the Kansas ballots anywhere.Again there are no republicans on the ballots. Neoconservatives support neoconservatives like the ones who have supported Bush/Cheney the last 8 years. This group has penetratedstate level positions as well as an expanded base of support.GW Bush,---- Cheney,Newt Gingrich are not a republicans. So many members of the Bush administration are not republicans. Jeb Bush and William Kristol are not republicans. William"the midnight gambler" Bennett is not a republican. Ed Rollins is not a republican. All of the above are trying to save facist neoconservative seats disguised as republicans.Vote Obama 2008 Yes! Tuesday November 4 2008Forget the polls and predictionsLARGE numbers of voters = changeObama needs every voter at the polls to send a message!

I know Colin Powell endorsed Comrade Obama. Let me tell you why that does not impress me.Do you remember Saddam's invasion of Kuwait? It was back in 1990. For some of you that may have been before you were born or cognizant of the world around you. Powell urged George H Bush to not go to war over Kuwait but rather rely on sanctions to force Saddam out. This according to none other than Margaret Thatcher. She became aware of this idea and called George H Bush and pleaded with him to take a more affirmative stand. She explained to him that only the US had the wherewithal to drive out Saddam. Fortunately, that Bush listened to Lady Thatcher and not Powell or Saddam would still be in Kuwait. Then, as the war was coming to an end Powell committed his second act of infamy. Our forces had pulled off the famous Hail Mary manuveur and were racing in from the west and threatening to cut off the remaining Iraqi forces in the Kuwaiti theater. Many of those forces were fleeing north along what became known as the highway of death. This because our air power was able to pound the retreating Iraqis without limitation. Scharzkopf needed another 24 to 48 hours and he would have cut off the retreating Iraqis from the rest of Iraq. We could have then forced the surviving Republican Guard to walk home without their guns, tanks, etc. But Powell urged Bush to stop the war and spineless Bush listened. The surviving Republican Guard tauntingly motored past the guns of our tanks on their way north. Those same RG units were later used to go after the Kurds when they rose up against Saddam and to go after the Shiites when they rose up against Saddam. If Powell had not turned chicken it is very likely that Iraqis would have overthrown Saddam and we wouldn't be there now. So, I hold Powell in very low esteem. Very low indeed.

Sounds like Bob might have seen Oliver Stone's newest film.

And another thing; because of the election day debacles of the last two elections, those voting for McCain/Palin should present themselves at the polls Tuesday, November 4, 2008 and those voting for Obama/Biden should present themselves at the polls Wednesday, November 5, 2008. That way there will be no confusion about hanging a guy named Chad.

Critical advisors. Hmmm, you mean like:A mentor who was an active Communist party member and suspected Soviet spy--Frank Davis?Professors at Columbia who sympathized with the Soviet Union?Using Saul Alinsky as a model on how to conduct a putsch?Working for and with William Ayers for multiple years?Serving as attorney for, trainer for ACORN?Pictures of Che in the campaign headquarters?Going to Kenya on a supposed 'fact finding' trip paid for with tax dollars but spending the time campaigning for a marxist named Odinga who resorts to violence when the election doesn't go his way? Then finally self-confessing that he wants to take others money and spread it around. Sounds eerily similar to "from each according to their ability, to each according to their need".Folks, I wore the uniform of my country during the Cold War. The very things we condemned the Soviets for Obama now wants to bring here. If Obama were applying for a security clearance, his associations with these people would be an automatic disqualifier. Why? Because they would be suspected enemy agents. There is no way I am going to vote for what appears to be a closet Marxist. A proverbial very warm place can freeze absolutely solid first.
