Dismantling of nuclear complex to continue

? North Korea said it will resume disabling its main nuclear complex after the U.S. removed the country from a terrorism blacklist – a breakthrough expected to energize stalled international talks over the communist nation’s atomic programs.

The disagreement was just the latest of many between Pyongyang and Washington that threatened to scuttle progress since negotiations aimed at achieving North Korea’s denuclearization began five years ago.

The developments raised hopes that the stalled nuclear talks could quickly resume and help improve ties between the U.S. and North Korea, Cold War adversaries still technically at war.

Experts warned, however, that more hurdles are likely to emerge and predicted a long road ahead before North Korea’s nuclear programs are ever dismantled.
