U-11 Force Second: Kaw Valley Force U-11 girls finished second in the Kansas Cup. Terranova Titlist: Mark Terranova fired a par 72 and won Saturday’s Jayhawk Golf Club weekly tournament by a stroke over Jack Schwartz. Van Reichert was third with a 76. In net scoring, Joe Edmonds was low with a 68, followed by Bill Hamilton 72 and Drew Walters 73.

Mihura Champ: Wynne Mihura of Lawrence won the Class A division of a horseshoe-pitching tournament on Saturday in Ottawa. Mihura was 6-0 in dual matches.

Kansas Soccer Academy: U-14 girls win 2-0 on goals by Tanna Fanshier. U-12 boys win 4-2 with goals by Jake Burdett and Chris Sedlock. U-13 girls blanked, 2-0. High school girls get goal from Amber Hicks but bow, 3-1.
