Well. It's now 8:46am Thursday the 9th and I'm really happy about the "updates" to this story.

No, 1900 Road would be the correct intersecting road.

Is 1057 for sure the accurate county road nearby to this accident? Google maps isn't making that out to be very feasible. Maybe 1075 instead?

1057 is the highway that crosses K-10 one mile east of Eudora.

Hawk., Chill dude. It's a beautiful autumn evening outside and the world is still not at war. (yet...Putin still has that 'small-man-syndrome' thing going and Medvedev is trying to show he is in control so maybe things will go your way yet.

There should be video on the entire route and a cross over barrier.

I just saw this going east bound and it looks pretty nasty. Hope everyone is ok. It us right past the first overpass when you are heading towards Eudora.

JackRipper (Anonymous) says: "The great limitation on transportation options takes an other victim. Will we ever figure it out?"Confused as usual, jackie boy? You keep blabbering on your choo-choo threads and those on the buses that you don't want to take cars away. So, um, not that logic has ever been one of the tools you're familiar with, but how would having the option to ride a train have prevented this accident? Do you know the person, jackie? Did he die because he was despondent over the lack of a choo-choo, like you? In case you didn't realize (and as usual, you don't), the train from KC takes longer to get to Lawrence than driving. If this person crashed because he was in a hurry, something tells me he wouldn't have taken the train if he had the 'option.'

Why do you people always have to jump on the 'speed' and 'cell phone' wagon? Maybe they were adjusting the volume of the radio or taking a drink of that pop in the beverage holder. Or even, how about this, someome else swerved into their lane and they overcorrected.

Passed going east on my commute home today. That part of K-10 tends to be tricky during prime commuting hours as you get folks slowing down for the change from the 70 mph to 65 mph zone near East Hills, as well as from folks merging on to the highway off of the overpass. It is almost as bad a the bottleneck over by K10 and Woodridge Rd.

i was at the scene and the cause was unknown at that time but i highly doubt cell phone because he did not have one on him and the radio was off and there was no drink in the car i think someone cut him off
