Efforts to meet black students’ demands for changes at Lawrence High School were being delayed by a lack of cooperation from the students, LHS principal Bill Medley told the school board. A noisy protest by a group of black students forced the board to move its meeting to a first floor room of the administration building where a larger group could be more easily accommodated.
