Davenport, Iowa — Maria Parker had 27 points and 14 rebounds, and Haskell Indian Nations University defeated St. Ambrose, 71-68, on Saturday in women’s college basketball.

Kortney Smith added 14 points and eight assists, Sharon Forte scored nine points, and Justina George totaled seven points and eight assists.

The Indians (7-3) won their fifth in a row.

“That exceeds my expectations,” Haskell coach Phil Homeratha said. “Justina, Kortney and Maria have been playing really big. And we’ve just played good defense.”

The Indians will play Williams Woods on Saturday in Fulton, Mo.
