Seabury Academy will conduct a boys basketball preseason scrimmage at 7 p.m. today.

First-year coach Mike Harding will introduce the players and the cheerleaders will perform. The Seahawks will open the season Dec. 9 at Hyman Brand Academy in Overland Park.

Seabury officials have announced they will not field a girls basketball team during the 2008-09 school year because of a roster shortage.
