Shane Gimzo rushed for four touchdowns and threw for another score as Perry-Lecompton’s football team defeated Holton, 56-35, in Friday’s Class 4A semifinal at the Kaws’ field.

Gimzo scored on runs of 52 and 34 yards in the fourth quarter.

The Kaws have advanced to the state title game for the first time in school history. P-L will play Topeka Hayden a week from Saturday in Salina.
