Gerald Whiteside, of Marston Hearing Center in Lawrence, joined more than 300 leading U.S. hearing care professionals in Denver for the Oticon Human Link Conference.

The three-day conference featured a special awards ceremony honoring outstanding individuals with hearing loss.

At the conference, Whiteside was introduced to the newest advanced technology hearing solutions, including the new Oticon Dual, which has a small, sleek design that fits discreetly behind the ear, and fits the needs of many people who resist the look of more traditional hearing devices.

Whiteside also noted the Dual family of hearing devices can accommodate more than 80 percent of people with hearing loss, and fits a broad range of listening preferences and budgets.
