Oklahoma St. improves to 1-1

? Andrea Riley had 22 points and eight assists, and No. 19 Oklahoma State bounced back from its season-opening loss with a strong second half in an 89-56 victory against McNeese State on Tuesday.

Riley, a preseason All-America selection, scored six straight points at the start of the second half, and McNeese State came no closer than 15 the rest of the way.

The Cowgirls (1-1) fell behind by five early, but grabbed a 38-26 lead at halftime and then pulled away by shooting 61 percent in the second half.

Kristin Hernandez came off the bench to score 17 points, and junior college transfer Tegan Cunningham added 16 points in her Gallagher-Iba Arena debut.

Megan Byford had 10 rebounds for Oklahoma State, which had a 46-30 edge on the boards and outscored McNeese State, 32-12, in the paint.
