Douglas County commissioners at their meeting tonight will consider approving the design for extending 31st Street east of Lawrence with a 45 mph speed limit.

Engineers last week unveiled the design to city and county commissioners.

The meeting begins at 6:35 p.m. at the Douglas County Courthouse, 1100 Mass. Commissioners will also consider relocation of a portion of North 2190 Road and adopting oversized or overweight load-permitting regulations in the county.
