The Kansas football team bounced back from its 27-23 loss to Oklahoma here and went to Kansas State to post a 38-29 victory. Only Missouri, in Lawrence, was left on the schedule, and the one-loss Jayhawks of Pepper Rodgers were clearly in line for a New Year’s-time Orange Bowl game.
