Nuggets’ Hunter has knee surgery

? Denver Nuggets center Steven Hunter was expected to be sidelined at least 12 weeks after arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Friday. Hunter had the surgery at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail.

Hunter has had a chronic knee problem that was aggravated in training camp.

The Nuggets acquired Hunter from Philadelphia last season in a trade that sent forward Reggie Evans to the 76ers.
