? The De Soto High football season ended with a 23-0 loss to Perry-Lecompton on Tuesday night.

“I think we just shot ourselves in the foot, as coach would say,” De Soto’s Jake Radell said. “It didn’t seem like we pulled it together tonight.”

The Wildcats had chances early, but a dropped interception that would have gone for six points and a fumble deflated some of the enthusiasm.

Roeland Park – Baldwin (8-2) squeaked into the state playoffs by one point last week. However, it started its new season with a convincing victory over Bishop Miege (5-5) to become bi-district champions.
