The $12,568 average salary paid to nine-month faculty members placed Kansas University second among Big Eight Conference schools on the salary scale, said Raymond Nichols, KU vice chancellor for finance. Colorado ranked first with a $13,098 average and Oklahoma State was last at $10,086.
