Lions to sign Culpepper

? Free-agent quarterback Daunte Culpepper expects to sign a two-year contract with the Lions on Monday, an NFL source said Saturday. Culpepper worked out for the Lions on Tuesday, and coach Rod Marinelli said as recently as Friday that the sides were still talking.

Culpepper, 31, announced his retirement earlier this season, after deciding not to pursue opportunities in Green Bay and Pittsburgh. But then he announced he would come out of retirement. He canceled a visit to Kansas City, saying another team was a better fit, and headed to Detroit.
