KSHSAA Honors Bock: Shelley Bock of Lawrence has been recognized by the Kansas State High School Activities Association for his contribution to prep athletics. Bock has served as a soccer official for more 20 years and worked in 14 state soccer championship meets.

KSA Tryouts: Kansas Soccer Academy will be conducting premier team tryouts for U-10 through high school youth at 1 p.m. on June 14-15 at Free State High. KSA is operated by Kansas University coach Mark Francis and Free State coach Jason Pendleton.

HyVee Kids Klub: Current Kansas University basketball players and the K.C. Pump N’ Run coaching staff will preside over the HyVee Kids Klub free basketball clinic at 1 p.m. Sunday at Free State High. The clinic is limited to the first 150 youths who pre-register at either city HyVee store.

Nash Dash: The Nash Dash, an 8K and mile fun run, will be Saturday on the Kansas River trails. It’s a fund-raiser for WRAP, which places mental health professionals from the Bert Nash Center into Lawrence and area schools.
