Old Home Town - 100 years ago

May 24, 2008

From the Lawrence Daily World of May 24, 1908: "Something of a sensation occurred in Leavenworth yesterday when a Presbyterian church pastor was ousted because he had written some 'fool' letters to one of the younger girls in the congregation. Many in the canoeing activities, in particular, wound up in the water."
