Nearly three weeks after a Lawrence man was killed in a hit-and-run accident, a police investigation is continuing and there has been no arrest.

A day after 60-year-old Thomas Crum of Lawrence was killed in a two-vehicle accident, Lawrence police said they had a suspect identified. That identification was possible because of vehicle parts that were found at the scene with identification numbers on them.

Once police are through with their investigation it will be forwarded to the Douglas County District Attorney’s office for review.

“The bulk of the report is completed, but we still have a couple of supplements to finish,” police spokesman Sgt. Paul Fellers said.

Crum was killed early May 4 on Sixth Street east of Kasold Drive.
