People who work on Golf Course Management, the official publication of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, Lawrence, received six first-place awards and one merit award from the Turf and Ornamental Communicators Association during a ceremony May 8, in Minneapolis, Minn.

Winning first-place awards:

¢ Roger Billings, senior art/production manager, for a photo story and for page design.

¢ John C. Fech, an extension educator, for an ornamental feature article.

¢ Terry Ostmeyer, senior staff writer, for a product information article.

¢ Seth Jones, senior associate editor, for a general feature article.

¢ Scott Hollister, editor, for headline writing.

Winning a merit award was Peter Bronski, a freelance writer, for an environmental stewardship article.

Ed Hiscock, the magazine’s editor in chief, has been re-elected to a second year as the president of the association.
