Hand therapist attends seminar

Susan Stahl, an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist at Neu Physical Therapy, Lawrence, recently attended a Kansas City Hand Rehabilitation Specialty Group two-day seminar in Overland Park.

The course, Manual Therapy Techniques for the Wrist and Thumb, focused on assessment of joint pain and limited use of a hand attributable to joint stiffness, such as that caused by a wrist fracture or arthritic changes. Therapists learned how to apply techniques to improve pain-free movement, and use of the hand and wrist.

Stahl, who has been affiliated with Neu Physical Therapy since 1998, provides therapy addressing orthopedic and neurological problems that affect the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder.
