U-14 Rebels Champs: Kansas Rebels U-14 baseball won the K.C. 3&2 Slugfest. Team members are Blake Bergmann, Anthony Buffalomeat, Sean Cesare, Reece Conklin, David Pierce, C.J. Roush, Montana Samuels, Tyler Self, Cameron Solko, Chandler Thomann, Elliot Vaughn, Jake Vinoverski and Troy Willoughby. Coaches are Randy Samuels, Ray Buffalomeat, Scott Thomann and Chuck Vinoverski.

¢ Roberts JGC Champ: Conrad Roberts recorded a three-over-par 75 in windy conditions to capture Sunday’s Jayhawk Golf Club tournament at Alvamar. Chris Anderson was runner-up with an 80 and Bud Stagg third with an 81. In net scoring, William Patt and Drew Walters each had a 76 for low honors. Jack Schwartz was next with a 78.

¢ Riley Shines: Matt Riley of Lawrence won the ages 20-24 division and finished ninth overall in the Mississauga Marathon Sunday in Ontario, Canada. Riley’s time was 2:49:26. A sophomore at Kenyon College, Riley also won the 10K at the All-Ohio championships with a 32:03 clocking.

¢ Girls Basketball: The Sunflower Invitational, a Lady Prospects basketball tournament with seventh grade, eighth grade, high school open and high school elite divisions will be May 24-25 at various Lawrence facilities. ¢ Nash Dash: The Nash Dash, an 8K and mile fun run, will be May 31 on the Kansas River trails. It’s a fund-raiser for WRAP, which places mental health professionals from the Bert Nash Center into Lawrence and area schools. The participant who raises the most money will win a basketball autographed by Kansas University’s national championship team. For information, go to www.bertnash.org.
