The 13th annual Lawrence Humane Society Mutt ‘n’ Strut will be Saturday.

Mutt ‘n’ Strut is a fundraising event for the animal shelter.

Packet pickup and registration is from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Sunflower School, 2521 Inverness. To participate, you must register and pay a minimum pledge of $35. Entrants must be at least 12 years old. Dogs must be current for rabies vaccinations the day of the event, entrants must sign a waiver, dogs must be on a leash and under control and should be sociable with other dogs. People can walk with more than one dog, but each must be registered. People don’t need to walk with a dog to participate. The more pledges made, the better the chances to win a prize.

The walk begins at 9 a.m.

Coffee and cinnamon rolls will be served from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. there will be information booths, local vendors featuring pet products and gifts, and a bake sale.

Concessions will be served for lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

At 11 a.m. several contests will occur, including the best animal tricks, owner/pet lookalike and the most unique mutt.
