KU center schedules seminar for retailers

Kansas University’s Small Business Development Center is offering a seminar to help retailers accomplish one of their most basic goals: boosting sales.

The center is offering “Sales Techniques for Growing Retail Revenues,” a seminar billed as helping people “take your business to the next level by perfecting your sales strategy.”

Maggie Bornholdt, a consultant at the center, plans to present “basic steps, critical details and psychological elements of making a successful sale.” Also, she intends to show retailers how to effectively gather customer data and strategically connect customer buying habits and preferences with sales and marketing.

The seminar is set for 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday at the center, 734 Vt. Cost is $25.
